There are many extraordinary places and spaces
in the ordinary world of our everyday lives, locations that are outside of
our perception. By creating surprising situations, these latent places may
surface for just a brief moment. But these brief, situational moments may
have a long-lasting effect on the directions of our thinking.
Atelier Latent creates situations in latent places.
Gardens and Places need to be "enriched” with new
meanings in much the same way decorative flower beds need to be replanted
from time to time. Otherwise, they will disappear into the depths of meaninglessness
and from the horizon of our perception.
Atelier Latent creates temporary interventions that allow for the surfacing
of new meanings.
Walks
Don’t believe in images!
Instead, go for a walk!
Every walk is an original. It cannot be replaced or reproduced by any other
medium. By walking, promenaders develop their own images of the world. While
modern media presents an image of the world, the promenader creates an image
and opens vistas by moving through the real world.
Atelier Latent creates promenadological walks to surprising places
and, thereby, expands the archive of existing images.
